Getting Started
PawFellowship is a community for local pet friendships, Paw Dates, and neighbourly care. Start by meeting nearby owners and helping pets get familiar. When care is needed, Kibble Points keep the exchange balanced without money.
Click Register on the homepage, enter your name, email, and a password, then verify your email address. You'll receive 20 free Kibble Points the moment you join for future care requests.
Yes, completely free. No card required to sign up, browse, message, RSVP to Paw Dates, or send care requests. You start with 20 Kibble Points and earn more by helping other members.
Yes, and most members are. You might start with play dates, then help someone's cat while they're away, earn Kibble Points, and use them when you need someone to walk your dog. Enable your fellow profile any time from your profile settings.
PawFellowship is available across the UK. Set your location in your profile and use the distance filter in search to find community members near you.
The Kibble Points System
Kibble Points are not money and have no cash value. Think of them as a tally of community favours. Join and get 20 free Kibble Points. Use them for care requests, earn them back by helping other members, and pick up a small reward for confirmed Paw Date attendance.
Costs depend on the type of care:
Overnight boarding: 5 Kibble Points per night
Day care: 3 Kibble Points per day
Drop-in visit: 2 Kibble Points flat
Dog walking: 2 Kibble Points flat
Points are only deducted when the fellow accepts. Browsing and requesting is always free.

The main way is by helping with other members' pets. When a care arrangement completes, the Kibble Points go straight to your balance. You also get 5 bonus points for every friend who joins using your referral link, and 2 points for attending a confirmed Paw Date.
Earn more by helping other members with pet care. Every completed care arrangement transfers Kibble Points straight to your balance. You can also earn by referring friends and attending Paw Dates.
Points are deducted when a fellow accepts your request, not when you send it. So you can message or request from several fellows without spending anything. Once one accepts, the points are held for that care arrangement.
If a care arrangement is cancelled after Kibble Points have been deducted, they are refunded to your balance automatically. If a fellow declines your request before accepting, no Kibble Points are ever touched.
For Fellows
Go to Profile → Care Settings, tick "I want to look after other members' pets", select the types of pets you can care for and how you can help, then save. Your profile will appear in the community search immediately.
You earn the same number of Kibble Points the owner spent. They transfer to your balance automatically when the care arrangement completes, ready to use whenever you need care.
Yes, completely free. No listing fees, no commission, no subscription. You just show up in the community and accept care requests.
Decline away. No Kibble Points are touched on either side until you actually accept. We just ask that you respond within 72 hours so owners aren't left hanging.

Yes. Use messaging to get to know the fellow, ask about any special requirements, or arrange a Paw Date or meet-and-greet before committing to care.
Every member has a verified email. Read reviews left by other owners, check how they present their pets and routines, and message them before committing. A Paw Date or meet-and-greet before a first stay is always a good idea.
Yes. Select all the pets that need care when creating the request.
Fellows have 72 hours to respond. If they don't, the request expires on its own and no points are deducted. Just request from someone else.
Safety & Trust
No, and this is important. PawFellowship does not conduct background checks, DBS checks, identity verification, or any professional assessment of its members. The only requirement to join is a verified email address. You are solely responsible for evaluating any fellow's suitability for your pet. Message them, read all their reviews, and arrange a Paw Date or face-to-face meet-and-greet before any care request.
- Send a message introducing yourself and your pet.
- Ask about their experience, home environment, and how they handle emergencies.
- Read all of their reviews. Look for consistent patterns, not just the star rating.
- Arrange a Paw Date or meet-and-greet so your pet can meet the fellow before any stay.
- Trust your instincts. If anything feels off, do not proceed.
PawFellowship is a community platform and takes no responsibility for what happens during or as a result of a care arrangement. Your due diligence protects your pet.
No. PawFellowship is a platform that connects pet owners with community fellows. All care arrangements are private arrangements between members. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PawFellowship accepts no liability for any loss, injury, death, or damage to pets or persons arising from any care arrangement. If something goes wrong, contact the fellow directly, then your vet or emergency services if needed. You can report serious incidents to us via the Contact page.
PawFellowship does not provide insurance and does not require fellows to hold any. We strongly recommend checking whether a prospective fellow has their own public liability or pet care insurance before arranging care. Pet owners should also review their own home or pet insurance policy for coverage when a third party is caring for their animal.
Yes. Use the Contact page to report anything that violates our Community Guidelines. We look into every report.
Reviews
After a care arrangement is marked as complete, you'll see a prompt to leave a review. Reviews are public and help other members make confident choices.
Not yet. It's on the list. For now, if you have a concern about a review, get in touch via the Contact page.
Once submitted, reviews cannot be edited or deleted by the reviewer. If you believe a review contains false information or violates our guidelines, please contact us.
Paw Dates
A Paw Date is a community-organised pet playdate. Any member can host one. Pick a park or local area, set a date and time, and invite the community to join. It's a free, social feature with no Kibble Points required to attend.
Go to Paw Dates → Host a Paw Date. Fill in a title, date and time, area name (shown publicly), and optionally an exact meeting spot (only revealed to attendees after they RSVP). You can also set which pet types are welcome and cap the number of attendees.
Browse the Paw Dates page. All upcoming meetups are shown on a map and in a list. Click any paw date to see the details, then hit Count me in! to RSVP. The host will be notified and the exact meeting spot (if set) will be shared with you.
No. When hosting, you enter two location fields: a public area name (e.g. "Victoria Park, Hackney") visible to everyone, and an optional exact meeting spot that is only shown to members who have RSVP'd. Never enter your home address as the public area name.
After the scheduled time has passed, attendees see a "We met up!" button. If at least 2 people confirm the meetup happened, everyone who confirmed earns 2 Kibble Points. You need mutual confirmation. One person alone cannot trigger the reward.
Yes. Open the paw date and click Cancel Paw Date. This only works before the scheduled time. Attendees aren't notified automatically, so drop them a message through the messaging feature.
Account & Privacy
Go to Profile in the top menu. You can update your name, bio, location, avatar, and notification preferences at any time.
Go to Profile → Delete Account. This is permanent. All your data, care history, reviews, and remaining Kibble Points will be removed.
We store your name, email address, profile information, care request history, Paw Date activity, and messages. We never sell your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
